HISTORY  

Country Roots has become what we know it to be today as a result of it's founder and president, Dan Carriere and his 27 years of experience in the furniture industry.

In February of 1998 Dan Carriere established Country Roots Furniture, Inc. and purchased the manufacturing portion of a small furniture company called Canadian Heritage Designs (CHD). CHD had existed in North Vancouver, British Columbia for 16 years producing a 100-product collection of Canadian antique reproductions. Since Country Roots Furniture purchased and took over operations of CHD, the business has grown significantly in terms of physical size, personnel, product and it's customer base.

Within 18 months of the take over, Country Roots had outgrown the North Vancouver location and relocated to a larger 40,000 square foot warehouse in North Burnaby, British Columbia. The move gave Country Roots the space to pursue larger volume orders, satisfy existing customers and expand and diversify the product line. Country Roots now carries over 300 catalog products of varying style and era including Shaker, Mission, Doukhobor, Amish, French Provincial, and Farmhouse collections, to name a few. To this day, the product line as well as the company continues to grow.

TODAY  

As already mentioned, Country Roots designs and manufactures a varying product line of over 300 catalog products and is continually growing the product line with custom pieces. The foundation of Country Roots is manufacturing well-built, quality, pine furniture. All furniture is built to American furniture standards and can be shipped anywhere in North America with out incurring any structural problems. It is engineered to last a lifetime.

The sturdy quality of the furniture, as well as the unique styles within the Country Roots product line, attracted the attention of resort development companies such as the Intrawest Corporation. Country Roots’ ability to provide high-end, custom furniture designs and finishes further impressed development companies and has lead to numerous exclusive contracts for the design and manufacturing of hotel and resort furniture and accessories.
